Itinerary

07:30 Departure destination Chablis

07:30 Pick up from Your hotel and Departure destination Chablis. There are approx. 190 km to drive on a highway from Paris to Chablis by our air conditioned Mercedes minivan. It takes around 2,5 hours. One stop at a rest area will be made.
 

10.15 - 11.30 Visit of Jean-Marc Brocard Domaine

10:15 - 11:30 Arrival in Chablis area. Visit of Jean-Marc Brocard Domaine surrounded by the vineyards with Cave visit and wine tasting of 5 wines with cheese: Chablis, Chablis 1-er Cru and Chablis Grand Cru. The experienced staff will give You all explanations about the process of wine making in Chablis and point out the differences between Chablis, Chablis 1-er Cru and Chablis Grand Cru.
 

11:30 - 12:30 Guided Visit at Maison Chablis Régnard

11:30 - 12:30 Arrival in Chablis village. Guided Visit at Maison Chablis Régnard founded in 1860 with 5 Wine tasting. You will learn in detail the wine-making process, and the details classification of Chablis wines, visit the Cellars and have a great experience of Chablis wines tasting made by the sommelier of this famous Chablis house: Petit Chablis, Chablis Village, Chablis 1-er Cru, Chablis Chablis 1-er Cru, Chablis Grand Cru.
 

12:30 - 14.00  Free time in Chablis. Optional Lunch

12:30 - 14.00 Free time in Chablis village. You can enjoy the small town or we reserve for You a gastronomic lunch. You pay directly to the Restaurant.
14:00 Departure destination Chateau de Pommard close to Beaune (135 km on the highway). It takes 1,5 hours.

 

16.00 - 17:30  Visit and Wine tasting at Chateau de Pommard

16.00 - 17:30 Arrival at Chateau de Pommard - one of the most famous domaines of Burgundy, close to Beaune and surrounded by the vineyards. Wine tasting of a selection of 5 wines from Château de Pommard and Famille Carabello-Baum "La Route des Grands Crus" with a professional sommelier. You will learn how Burgundy’s star grapes Pinot Noir and Chardonnay express themselves across Burgundy’s villages and terroirs. You will learn about: the 5 subregions of Burgundy and their specialties, about the famous wine road La Route des Grands Crus, about how the natural factors do influence the taste and about Burgundy’s classifications.
17:30 Departure to Paris 312 km (highway). It takes about 3,5 to 4 hours. One stop at a rest area will be made.

So we offer different Chablis Domains visits with the same number of Wine Tastings: Domaine Baptiste, Domaine Céline et Frédéric Gueguen, La Chablisienne etc. Chateau de Pommard makes visits on Sunday.

Chablis and Burgundy Wine Tour

Approximately 13 hours, very nice trip into Burgundy. Tastings were excellent. Great wines,
especially from Chateau de Pommard. Very informative and entertaining hosts.

journée bien remplie. Ça vaut le coup.

White Wine Lovers Must

The driver Cyrus arrived at our hotel early and helped us get into the vehicle. The vehicle was in excellent condition with leather seats throughout and water bottles if we were thirsty (save these for later imo).

Cyrus was an excellent driver and incredibly knowledgeable about everything we were asking. If he didn't have an answer straight away he would let us know when we returned from a stop.

Cyrus introduced us at each of the locations we went and we were given excellent service at every step of the way.

We asked to have some minor changes (stops for bathroom or to take photos) to our route because we were running early and Cyrus was happy to help.

I cannot recommend this trip enough. Chablis wine is lovely on so many levels and the sommeliers were very knowledgeable on the region.

Be prepared as you might want to use the spittoon.

LONG DAY BUT WORTH IT

Most memorable was the Regnard winery where they showed the whole facility and took time to explain all the processes and then gave us a tasting to see the differences. Also the Pommard winery we got a great experience and we loved the wine so much we had some sent home!!!

Wonderful Birthday Celebration!

Valerie and Roman were amazing hosts. Our pickup and drop-off were timely, and the agency provided a clean, comfortable, and spacious Mercedes van. Roman was a great driver and accommodated our requests for stops (WC, photos, etc.) as it was quite a drive from Paris to Bourgogne. Valerie was the perfect host - courteous, accommodating, and very knowledgeable of the Bourgogne region.

The highlights of the tour were the apothecary at Hospices de Beaune - Hotel Dieu (filled with natural remedies) and Chateau Pommard. Chateau Pommard has a gorgeous winery, and we truly enjoyed the delicious wine tasting!

What a classy way to celebrate my birthday with my hubby and our close friends!
