Overview

Private Day trip from Paris to Champagne region by Mercedes with Hotel Pick up. English Guided Cellars visit with tastings at Moet et Chandon and at Veuve Clicquot made by the Champagne houses staff. You visit as well the famous Reims Cathedral and Hautvillers village with the Panoramic Viewpoint and Church.

Itinerary

07:30 Pickup from your hotel in Paris and departure

07:30 Pickup from your hotel. Departure destination Champagne region. The ride takes about 2 hours (140 km) and one part of it goes along the picturesque Champagne landscapes and vineyards. One stop at a rest area will be made.

 

10:00 - 12:00 Moet et Chandon Guided visit with tasting

10:00-12:00:  Arrival in Epernay. Guided tour at Moet et Chandon including the underground Cellars and Champagne tastings. We offer you the choice between two high Level Options:
ADVANCED: "GRAND VINTAGE" Experience. Up to 10 people, 1.5 hours. 2 glasses: MOËT Grand Vintage Blanc, MOËT Grand Vintage Rose.
PREMIUM: Adults Only. "MOET COLLECTION". Up to 6 people, 2 hours. 2 glasses: Moet Grand Vintage Blanc and Moet Grand Vintage Collection Blanc.
Moet et Chandon is the world's biggest Champagne producer. Every second one bottle of Moet et Chandon Champagne is being opened.
 

12:00 - 13:30 Lunch in Épernay

12:00 - 13:30 Lunch in Épernay at a traditional French restaurant. Épernay is known as the Champagne Capital of France. Located along the Marne surrounded by the wine hills it is Home to many region’s most prestigious champagne houses. Épernay is a must for wine and champagne lovers. Walk the Avenue of Champagne attracts many tourists.
13:30 Departure to Hautvillers village. It takes 10 minutes (6 km).
 

13:40 - 14:10 Best Viewpoint in Hautvillers

13:40 - 14:10  Visit the Abbey's Church of Sindulphe of the Abbey Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers. It is a former Benedictine monastery. The Abbey was founded in 665 and remained active till the French Revolution 1789. Dom Perignon has developed the wine making methods in the region of Champagne. Nowadays there are 26 local Champagne producers in the village.
14:00 Stop at the View point with best Panoramic views over the vineyards and Marne river.
14:10 Departure to Reims. It takes 30 minutes (28 km).
 

14:45 - 16:45  Veuve Clicquot Guided visit with tastings

14:45-16:45: Veuve Clicquot Champagne house visit. Existing since 1772 Veuve Clicquot produces nowadays more than 22 million bottles per year and is one of the biggest producers. Guided tour though the cellars made by Veuve Clicquot staff gives you great insight into the history and Champagne production method.
We offer you the choice between two high Level Options:

We really enjoyed the hospitality and overall experience at Moet Chandon.

We really enjoyed the hospitality and overall experience at Moet Chandon. The group of 8 was perfect. Veuve Clicquot was a group of 20, that was a bit crowded but still very nice. Our guide Roman was very pleasant and let us spend plenty of time at all the spots. Overall definitely worth the expense.

This was an incredible experience!

This was an incredible experience! Our driver, Roman, knew of all the photo stop areas and took the best photos of us, made sure we were comfortable, gave lunch recommendations, and made sure we had enough time for all the adventures. The drive was smooth and comfortable. The champagne houses were a WOW experience! The champagnes were delicious and the tours were very informative. Everything was well coordinated and very organized. 100% would recommend!
